I had a request from a firm’s accounting department to upgrade their printers, I’m unsure whether it’s root cause was the user or the printer itself having issues, since both printers seemed absolutely fine, but I followed orders.
There were two locations to replace them, one was just over in another city. The setup was pretty straight forward, nothing much to write home about, just following directions in the box and setting up the Wi-Fi built in to both.
I had a slight issue finding a phone line for fax and since I never setup fax by myself since now, I put in their phone number instead of the fax number in the new printers and finally found out after some conversation that the phone line was already there, I must’ve not paid attention when I pulled the old one.
Set up the fax, Wi-Fi connection and drivers, printed test pages, everything seemed good, until I had Ticket #5 come up.
